I lived in Berlin 1986-1989, There were many imbiss carts up and down the streets. There were many Turkish Doner Kebap imbiss. The Doner was made from a large pita-style bread that was rollled up so one could carry the food. The insides were made of very thin, criisp slices of lamb, lettuce, tomato, sometimes cucumber. Then they were covered with a Knoblaunch sauce. it was very good and had a very strong garlic odor. They were then wrapped in aluminum foil. I would love to find a bottle of their sauce to try at my home in Texas. Can anyone help me? Does anyone live in Berlin so you could check those ingredients for me?
Thanks.
I would even pay for them to be shipped overnight, I love them so much. I really miss Berlin.
